"Birth is not only about making babies. It's about making mothers; strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength."

What is a Doula (And Why You Might Want One)?

Bringing a new baby into the world is one of the most personal, powerful, and life-changing experiences you'll ever have. It can also come with a lot of unknows, big emotions, and decision after decision. That's where a birth doula comes in. A doula is a trained support person who offers continuous emotional, physical, and informational care during pregnancy, labor, and the early postpartum period. We're not medical providers; we don't deliver babies, diagnose, or make decisions for you. Instead, we're here for you, your needs, your voice, your experience. We walk alongside you through it all, holding space when things feel overwhelming, encouraging your choices, offering practical support, and making sure you never feel like "just another patient."

Meet the Team

Welcome to Balance and Bloom Doula Care. We're Anna and Lauren, two certified birth doulas who have been close friends since childhood. We've always shared a deep interest in supporting others, and becoming doulas felt like a natural path for both of us. Working as a team just makes sense; we know each other so well, we communicate easily, and we both care deeply about showing up for the families we serve.
